Katherine Holland Garden Design was born of my passion for plants and gardening, so I deeply understand the desire for a garden to relax in. Whatever the size of your outdoor space, I offer a complete design process to transform it into a garden you adore.

Comprehensive Design Process

    1. Enquiry

    Following your initial enquiry, we’ll arrange an on-site meeting. Here, I can get to know you, discuss what you would love to achieve with your future garden and learn about the existing garden’s layout and challenges.

    After the site visit, you will be provided with a detailed client brief along with a scope of works and fee proposal.

    2. Outline Design

    Once the proposal is agreed, a topographical survey of your garden will be arranged, and concept work begins. This encompasses plan views, 3D images and mood boards to help bring the designs to life.

    I will then work with you to refine the plans based upon your feedback, before providing you with a revised concept for sign-off.

    3. Technical Design

    Once a final design has been agreed, detailing work begins. This includes a comprehensive pack of construction drawings for the landscape contractor, as well as planting plans and specifications for furniture and other features of your new garden.

    4. Tendering

    The technical drawings form part of a tender pack that will be used to obtain quotes from trusted landscape contractors. These will be reviewed and analysed to ensure you receive the highest quality service in terms of construction, finish and price.

    5. Build

    Now is when your garden dreams begin to take shape! I work directly with the contractors during the build, making sure everything follows our agreed schedule.
